The genre bait-and-switch is the design, not a tonal accident, and it's why the seduction scenes register as violations rather than fantasy.

Olivia and the men circling Alvina function less as characters than as a chorus measuring how much a woman is 'allowed' to want. Every man she hunts is someone the old-girl version would have deferred to; the possession inverts the power, and the panic onscreen is really panic about who's steering.

Alvina Urbino is the kind of buttoned-up good girl Filipino melodrama loves to wreck. A vengeful spirit gets inside her, and the woman who comes back out wants every man in reach. What starts as a romance about a decent woman with a steady boyfriend curdles into a possession picture where the demon's weapon isn't a knife or a levitating bed but appetite itself. Viva Films dressed it as a love story and detonated a supernatural sex-horror underneath, with Alvina hunting partners while the people around her scramble to figure out what's wearing her face.
