Her vengeful spirit possesses a doll in the family home and turns it into a conduit for revenge against everyone she blames for her unraveling — her husband, her young daughter Karen, and the sister who gave up everything for her and still couldn't make her happy. Castillo weaponizes sibling guilt, sacrificial love curdled into resentment, and the particular horror of a peace offering that was never enough. What looks like a haunting is really a reckoning: Ruth's jealousy didn't die with her, it just found a new vessel.
