• Stage Fright was the feature directorial debut of Michele Soavi, who built his reputation as an assistant/second-unit director for Dario Argento (Tenebrae, Phenomena) and Lamberto Bava (Demons) before genre veteran Joe D'Amato produced this, his first film as sole director.

Injured lead actress Alicia is left to fight back alone, cornering the masked killer with a fire extinguisher and a burning prop bin before a final, ambiguous shot suggests he isn't finished yet.
