Then a neighboring farmer with a habit for butchering trespassers turns their hostage situation into a survival problem. The film swerves from bickering-criminals comedy to backwoods slaughter without bothering to signal the turn. It is grimy, British, and mean where it counts, treating incompetence as a death sentence.
