A dying millionaire hires physicist Lionel Barrett — along with his wife Ann, mental medium Florence Tanner, and physical medium Ben Fischer, the sole survivor of an earlier investigation gone wrong — to crack the Belasco House, a sealed English mansion where a previous team met carnage. He wants proof of survival after death and dangles a fortune for it. The house, built by sadistic millionaire Emeric Belasco, who spent decades staging atrocities inside its walls, doesn't want company. As the team's instruments fail and Florence channels something increasingly hostile, the question isn't whether the house is haunted. It's whether anything inside it was ever truly alive.
