Thirty years earlier, Mrs. Aylwood's daughter Karen vanished during a solar eclipse, blindfolded as part of a ritual game with local teens, and something took her place. As Jan's visions intensify, the mystery turns out to be stranger than a ghost story — an alien "Watcher," pulled through by the eclipse, has been trapped in the woods ever since, and only Jan can help set it, and Karen, free.
