• Production budget was about $300,000; the film was shot over 43 days in early 2012, largely inside a real colonial-style house called Quinta Castillete in Caracas.
• Grossed more than $4.4 million and drew over 623,700 admissions in Venezuela, becoming the highest-grossing horror film in Venezuelan history and going on to screen in more than 30 countries -- the most internationally distributed Venezuelan film ever made.

The house is not haunted but sentient, a predatory organism that consumes timelines. Dulce's looping encounters are the structure slowly digesting her grief across decades, replaying trauma until her sorrow is metabolized into something the building can feed on permanently.

Dulce is already dead by the film's final act, and what audiences read as temporal reconciliation is a purgatorial construct. The house permits her to rewrite her worst night not as rescue but as closure, a dying brain smoothing jagged edges before the lights cut out for good.

The entity is Dulce's own future self, displaced backward through the house's temporal distortion, violently intervening in 1981 to prevent a catastrophe she has already lived through. The 'ghost' is her own regret made physical, attacking the family she couldn't save from a timeline she can't escape.

Venezuelan housewife Dulce finishes a thirty-year prison stint for slaughtering her husband and son. Except she didn't. Something came through the doors of her creaking colonial home that night in 1981, and the state pinned the carnage on her. Now paroled and returned to the scene, Dulce discovers time doesn't run straight inside those walls. The past is leaking into the present, the present is haunting the past, and the entity that destroyed her family is still hungry. Hidalgo's script weaponizes grief against logic until the final timeline snaps shut with devastating precision.
